Description

Ginger
Its active ingredients are gingerols and shogaols. Ginger is traditionally used for digestive problems, in cases of dyspepsias, colic, swelling and nausea.

Amylase
Amylases are enzymes involved in the digestion of carbohydrates. They are mainly produced by pancreatic cells and salivary glands. Pancreatic amylase hydrolyzes the ingested starch, completing its digestion in the first part of the small intestine (duodenum).

Proteases
Hydrolytic enzymes involved in protein digestion. With their action, the proteases are able to break the peptide bonds; they are divided into endopeptidases and exopeptidases, which are essential for the digestion of food proteins.

Glucoamylase
Different enzymes contribute synergistically to the hydrolysis of amylose and amylopectin, respectively water-soluble and non-starch fraction. Glucoamylase, a pullulanase, is able to release glucose from these chains.

Lipase
It is an enzyme able to carry out the hydrolysis of fats, transforming triglycerides into glycerol and fatty acids, in the lipolysis process.

Cellulase
They are a family of enzymes, mainly produced by fungi, bacteria and protozoa that belong to the family of hydrolases and that catalyze the hydrolysis of 1,4-s-D glycosidic bonds in cellulose, lichenine and ß-D-glucans of cereals.

Lactase
Lactase is an enzyme used to digest the characteristic sugar of milk; in more technical terms this protein is responsible for the enzymatic hydrolysis of lactose in glucose and galactose.

Pectinase
Hydrolysis enzyme capable of depolymerizing pectins to methyl esters of galacturonic acid. It is a low molecular weight substance found in Fungi.
