Description

Calendula officinalis
External use, as a lotion, promotes healing of skin tissue in case of small burns, small wounds, excoriations and chilblains; in fact it improves blood circulation of the skin, thus improving skin trophism. The wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties seem to be attributable to the large amount of carotenoids in Calendula flowers, while the essential oil is known for its antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties.

Ceramides
These are the main components of the lipid barrier, defined as the «cement» of our skin. They act as a barrier of the epidermis, protecting the skin from dehydration.

Low and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid
The low molecular weight form conveys the active ingredients more deeply and performs an intense hydration action of the surface layer as well as of the deep layer of the epidermis. The moisturising action of hyaluronic acid (high molecular weight) also relieves itching, often associated with dry skin, and helps to repair the epidermis thanks to its re-epithelizing activity.
