Grindelia
The main active ingredients are diterpenic acids such as the grindelic acid and other polyphenolic compounds characterised by expectorant, bechic, protective, antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory activity. Grindelia is mainly used to treat productive cough and phlegm in the upper airways.

Larix occidentalis
Arabinogalactan is a polysaccharide found in the bark of Larch, useful to promote and enhance the response of the immune system. Recently, it has been discovered that Larch arabinogalactans possess demulcent and filming properties that protect the inflamed oropharyngeal mucosa.

Malva sylvestris
The extract of Mallow leaves is rich in mucilage that has demulcent, protective and filming properties of the upper respiratory tract. It is therefore useful for dry, irritating, and productive coughs.

Sambucus nigra (Elderberry)
The dry extract obtained from the inflorescences has antiviral effects against the common flu virus, as well as anti-inflammatory, decongestant, and expectorant properties. The mucilage contained in the extract also soothes irritated mucous membranes.

Ribes nigrum (Blackcurrant)
It has strong anti-inflammatory properties. It supports the immune system and has an antiviral effect. In fact, recent studies demonstrate its effectiveness against influenza viruses.
